About

A cafe that wants you to sit down

We put in more plugs, more soft seating and fewer tiny tables than the numbers strictly justify. People stay, they come back, and the room is full at 2pm on a Tuesday. The espresso is dialled twice a day and the kitchen makes everything except the sourdough, which comes from two doors down.

“I have worked from that corner table two days a week for a year and nobody has ever given me a look. The flat white is also the best in the city.”

Ingrid H. · Guelph

“Brunch until close is such a simple idea and almost nowhere does it. Eggs benedict at 3pm on a Sunday is a public service.”

Bashir A. · The Ward

“They catered a 30-person office breakfast with two days' notice and remembered the two coeliac orders without being reminded.”

Nora L. · Guelph

FAQ

Common questions

Can I work from here?

Yes — that is deliberate. Free wifi, plugs at most tables, and no time limits. We only ask that big laptops move off the four-tops during the noon rush.

Do you cater to allergies?

Gluten-free and vegan options daily, and the kitchen can adapt most brunch plates. Tell us when you order and it goes on the ticket.

Do you take orders ahead?

Yes, and it skips the queue entirely — useful between 8 and 9.30am when the line reaches the door.

Can you do office catering?

Platters from $90 with 48 hours' notice, including coffee urns. Tell us headcount and any dietary requirements.

Skip the morning queue

Order ahead in a few taps, or ask about allergens, catering and whether there's a table free right now.
